*Groan* I’m getting braces in 2 weeks….yippee.
Today I went to the dentist, who put spacers (which are basically small bands that they jam between your teeth to make “space”) in. They said it would be painless and would take 5 minutes at the most.
5 minutes? Yep.
Painless? OMG, not even close!
It’s been 7 and a half hours, and my mouth is in a state of agony. The worst part is that I’m starving, but can’t eat cause it hurts to chew. I can’t even bite down.
And to think, I get to repeat this thrilling experience every 4 weeks. Aren’t I lucky?

ouch. check out wat i hav 2 go through. my ‘appliances’ look like some kitchen appliance gone wrong, and i hav 2 wear them all the time just to move my lower jaw 2 mm. and guess what? its not gonna move until i lose one of my teeth thats holding it in place. speaking of teeth, ive gone through 1 surgery and will need more to remove an UPSIDE DOWN EXTRA TOOTH. according to the guy who operated on me: 1) its common 2) i couldnt eat dairy 24 hrs. before and 72 hrs. after the surgery or it wouldnt work and 3) he couldnt remove it w/o accidentally knocking my front teeth out, but if he didnt 4) the tooth itself would knock my 2 front teeth out. so 5) i hav 2 come back in 1 year for another surgery.
its been 2 years.
